Canadian Privacy & Data Sovereignty Statement: In strict compliance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Ginie Health operationalizes robust administrative and technical safeguards to protect patient data. All Protected Health Information (PHI), including names, contact channels, digital lab reports, and clinical consultation records, is stored exclusively on secure, enterprise-grade servers physically located within Canada. Data transmissions use end-to-end SSL/TLS encryption protocols. Access to records is restricted strictly to authorized international consulting specialists on a need-to-know basis via encrypted access tunnels. No medical data is downloaded onto localized devices outside of Canada.
Ginie Health is a consumer health service operated by Gini Care Inc., a Canadian corporation. We connect individuals in Canada and internationally with specialist physicians for written clinical opinions, second opinions, and medical guidance. We are powered by Gini Advanced Care Hospital, Mohali, India.
We collect only the information necessary to provide your clinical opinion: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, province of residence, description of your health concern, and any medical records, lab reports, or prescriptions you choose to upload. We also collect information about how you use our website through standard web analytics.
Your information is used solely to: match you with an appropriate specialist, enable that specialist to prepare your clinical opinion, communicate your opinion to you, and follow up on your case. We do not use your health information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond direct care delivery.
All personal health information is stored on encrypted servers located in Canada (AWS ca-central-1, Montreal region). We do not transfer your health data outside Canada without your explicit consent.
Your information is accessible only to: the Ginie Health care coordination team, the specialist assigned to your case, and our encrypted database infrastructure. No third parties, advertisers, or data brokers have access to your health information under any circumstances.
Submitted case records are retained for 12 months from the date of your consultation to enable follow-up care. Abandoned chat sessions are not stored beyond the active browser session. You may request deletion of your records at any time.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate information, withdraw consent and request deletion of your records, and file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We use standard web analytics to understand how visitors use our site. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use our service.
The clinical opinions provided through Ginie Health are prepared by specialist physicians located in India. These physicians are fully credentialed in India but do not hold Canadian medical licensure. The service is strictly educational and for second-opinion purposes. No Canadian doctor-patient relationship is established and no Canadian prescriptions are issued through this platform.
